Domiciliary Care

Support is provided for residents who cannot wholly look after themselves, in their own home, at times comvenient to them and in ways to suit them, in accordance with the following principles:-

  • To respect each resident's right to privacy, dignity fulfilment, choice and confidentiality.
  • To provide personal care, domestic support, social and emotional support, support with medication, shopping and pension collection and companionship.

A plan, called the "Service User Plan of Care" taking needs and risks into account, is prepared covering the care to be offered. This will specify the services to be provided, stating the tasks to be performed and the objectives planned to be achieved.

unless DMF Options are in place, the cost of care services is:-

  • 30 minutes £10.60        45 minutes £14.50
  • 60 minutes £18.20     Medication visits (two visits) £5.00

Other Care Services


  • Residents can arrange with their GP for their prescriptions to be sent direct and their medications to be delivered to them.

Help in the Home

  • On their arrival, residents will receive a full health assessment from the Head of Care to determine whan personal care and assistance might be required.

Nurse Visits

  • A Registered Nurse visits Grove Place each week on Tuesday or Wednesday (see calendar) from 09:00 to 14:00. Appointments can be booked with the Head of Care or a Senior Carer.

Visits to GP Surgeries

  • Visits are made by minibus to GP surgeries on Monday and Thursday mornings. (See calendar.)

Emergency Response

  • Emergency call buttons and pull cords are located in each apartment and in the Manor House. Residents who have opted to receive them also have a pendant to wear: staff have pagers which receive an alert when a pendant is activated. (See notice.)

First Aid

Most of the staff are trained in First Aid and hold current First Aid Certificates. First Aid kits are located in the Manor House and defibrillators in the Manor House and in Northcliffe House.
